Im a Rancho Bernardo local and have trusted Ricks Rb Auto for years now. Rick had his shop on Rancho Bernardo Rd at the shell station for about 10 plus years but now recently moved to Escondido but he's still taking care of the community . I recently needed service for my Acura and he picked up and delivered my car at no charge just made the whole process easy and stress free . If you are looking for a honest shop Rick is the guy he is honest and reliable and what i enjoy is its a Family-run auto shop

My car wouldn't start one Saturday afternoon and I had to get it towed, so I picked this place due to distance and high google review. Rick told me right off the bat "this is what I think it might be, if I rush to diagnose it today I might misdiagnose it so it would be better to leave it here until Monday morning when I can really work on it". I live down in San Diego so it wasn't ideal, but because the reviews were so great I said sure, I'll leave it a few days (they're closed Sunday). He actually offered for one of his guys to take my husband and I home when the shop closed in an hour! Monday morning he gave me a call to say this is the problem, this is the cost for the part and the cost for the labor, and this is how much the part would be from the dealership. I double checked the prices he gave me online and he was spot on. Gave him the okay to fix it and when he was done, his son Rick Jr was actually able to drive the car back down to San Diego for me! This father-son combo was SO caring, so good at their work, so honest, and I am very very seriously considering driving the 20-30 minutes up to their shop anytime I need future work done. I've been looking for a trustworthy mechanic for years now and I think I've finally found the one! BTW they do have a ~$200 (I think) diagnosis fee, but Rick explained to me that the fee amount goes right into the labor fee when they do the actual work on your car. You would only actually be charged that fee if all youre getting done is a battery switch or something very very small that they otherwise would make no money on. They had to put a new started into my car, and had to remove the exhaust manifold to access it, so they charged a total of $240 for that 2 hours total of labor. Fair deal. Love these guys.

Wow!! Excellent service to say the least....they got me in right away and were able to offer a ride to my local place of business. I spoke to Rick personally who was completely honest and down to earth! They communicated through out the process with updates and estimates. They even brought my car back to work! I am telling you, I haven't seen service like this in years! I will be highly recommending this business to all of my customers and friends in the area! Thanks guys!!
